The U.S. government website has a lot of information posted. It would be a good idea to browse through it. The embassy is surrounded by added security and some entrances may have been moved since 9/11. You should call ahead if you need to stop in as they have normal business hours. All cab drivers know the way and will get you there quickly. Please see the embassy website as backpacks or cell phones are not permitted.
