Some of these museums are private and both public and private museums can be free or have an admission price. Some are free but request a donation. They may get a government allowance but it never covers cost and maintenance costs. Tube stations are noted to help you find the location of the museum and to help you get there. Some places may have free admission before closing but you will have a short stay.
